Thank you so much Kazza. This was up at Cape Hillsborough. Have you been there? The kangaroos and wallabies are on the beach at first light.

Used to seeing Wallabies and Kangaroos surrounded by Arid, desert-like, conditions and not hundreds of hectares of water! Their pose is too die for!

It does look photo shopped to me, Sincere Congrats on the win though! A+ for creativity.

I agree. No offense to the photographer, but it's obviously photo shopped. You can see the white crop around the roos' heads and shoulders, lighting is totally different on the roos vs background, etc. Maybe I should start photoshopping my pics. :)

Taken at Rollingstone National Park Queensland - check the kangaroos on the beach to believe these wonderful animals. I was as amazed as many of you were :)

Nice shot, unfortunately, it looks very photo-shopped. The lighting is very awkward, and there is a small white outline on their arms. No offense of course.
Congrats on your photo challenge win!

Location
This photo was taken while we were holidaying at the top eastern part of Australia, at Cape Hillsborough National Park. The Kangaroos and Wallabies are a real attraction here, and the tourists from all over the World flock to see the Kangaroos on the beach. We stayed at this magnificent National Park for 10 days.Time
When I knew there were kangaroos were on the beach early in the morning, I made sure I was up and on the beach to watch them and capture as many photos as I could. These two kangaroos were amusing, and the cameras were snapping when we saw them holding 'paws'. I've never seen kangaroos do this before.Lighting
It was dark when I went to the beach, and I saw the kangaroos coming down from the bush, first one, then a few more, and then there were about a dozen of them. When this photo was taken, I had been on the beach for at least an hour, so the sun was up, and the kangaroos were easily visible.Equipment
I used my Sony DSLR-a500 Camera for this shot, and had left my tripod back at the caravan. The camera was set on a fast shutter speed to get a reasonable shot.Inspiration
I was so excited to see these magnificent animals on the beach, so I made sure I was there as early as I could. I probably took at least 200 plus photos in the time we were there. The antics of the kangaroos was incredible, and something amazing to watch.Editing
There were dozens of people on the beach this morning and people had come from everywhere to catch a glimpse of these two kangaroos in particular. I was unable to move to a spot where there were no people in the background, so I moved the kangaroos slightly to one side to be away from the background distractions of all the people. In my camera bag
I always carry my 70-300 lens wherever I go, as well as my tripod, except on this occasion I left i behind. I don't own any lighting equipment so try to make the most of the lighting at the time. Fortunately the lighting was great at the time I took the shot.Feedback
It is important to move as slowly as possible so as not to frighten these beautiful animals. I had been fortunate to try different settings over the first few days to see which was the right one to capture this shot. The settings I used for this shot were: f/5.6, Exposure 1/80sec, ISO 1600, Aperture 4.97, focal length 150mm.
