A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle.

Location
I took the image locally to me in NorthantsTime
It would have been around mid afternoonLighting
The lighting took care of itself really, the sky was so dramatic I couldn't resist.Equipment
My first DSLR Nikon d3100 with 18-55mm kit lens hand held.Inspiration
I was actually out with my 500mm lens looking for wildlife to photograph but soon changed when i see this shot.Editing
Yes!........the lighting strike is fake done in Photoshop ......Sorry :-OIn my camera bag
I now have a Nikon d7000 with 18-55mm kit lens, a Nikon 50mm f1.8 prime lens and a Sigma 70-300mm. Manfrotto tripod plus various filters.Feedback
Take the chance while it's there. If you go out to try to take a photo of something specific and something else comes along, change your lens and grab it. I was looking to shoot a Red Kite that day.
