This was taken at my house in Massachusetts kind of a happy accident.Time
It was getting close to sunset it was about an hour or two away from the sun going down. So the sun was focusing on her left sideLighting
Sun was setting over her left shoulder but was high enough in the sky to get that radiant light. Maybe this is what they mean by the golden hour.Equipment
I used my Nikon d3200 with my 300mm lense that I had just purchased. This was the end of its trial run to see what it could do.Inspiration
This was simply right place right time. Right time a day. Probably my most happy accident. This was simply my wife smelling her peonies that were in full bloom that say she didn't even realize I was there until I called her name and she looked up never removing her nose from the giant flower just to look up with those eyes.Editing
I did nothing to this photo just the tiniest bit of cropping no editing other than that. I felt this photo didn't need it. I have a large problem with over editing a pic I always feel that it makes it to fake or it changes the reason why I shot that picture. In my camera bag
My camera and my lenses 200mm lense and 300mm lense cleaning clothes for camera. Cleaning wipes for my hands. My iPad is usually in there and lollipops if I'm shooting kids sound cheesy but it works. Must always have extra battery and extra memory cardsFeedback
The only advice I can give is shoot a lot of shots to just get that magical one picture. This picture was taken after a shoot that I did with my wife and daughter that i was just trying out my new lense. This was a happy accident that's all it was. My wife is very happy with this picture and she usually hates every picture that I shoot of her. I shot 25 pictures of her with this flower they all look different but this one she forgot I was there and in the moment I called her name and hit the button on the camera..
