Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at a friends farm in Northeast Pa,

Time

The photo was taken in the early evening around 6:00 to 7:00 pm in mid summer

Lighting

Lighting is key. For a shot like this, early evening with the sun at my back resulted in showing off the beautiful mane that this Mountain Pony has.

Equipment

It was shot with a Canon Rebel XTi , a Canon 70-300mm lens w/image stabilizer, and freehand. (No tripod)

Inspiration

You just can not go wrong jumping inside a fence with a bunch of horses with your camera in hand.

Editing

I just made it black and white. Sometimes a photo is just more inspiring that way.

In my camera bag

1-Canon Rebel XTi 1-Canon 50D and multiple lenses. Wide angle, zoom lenses, and prime/fixed lenses are always in my bag.
