The destructive aftermath of Hurricane Ike (2008) in Galveston Texas. This photo shows what was left of the Historic Balinese Room right after Hurricane Ike hit. The remains you see were torn down soon after this photo was taken, all that remains now are a few pylons... The saddest thing is that the Balinese room had just finished being comepletly restored a few years earlier...
