Location

I took this photo on a plantation in Kauai. We were there for a Sunday brunch, and they offered Carriage Rides.

Time

It was late morning, close to noon when I took this picture. Carriage rides are not something that is easy to find in our area, so I was very interested in photographing the carriage, horse and driver. I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Lighting

The sun was high in the sky and at my back when I took the photo. I didn't use any kind of special lighting, just the natural sunlight.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon camera that I no longer have. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I thought the carriage was beautiful and the horse and driver looked very regal. Not having carriage rides readily available anywhere near me was my primary reason for taking the picture. My mom, sister and I were together on this trip and definitely took a carriage ride!

Editing

There was no special processing on this photo.

In my camera bag

I have an Olympus SZ-12 camera, my charger, an extra SD card, a cleaning kit, and a small tripod.
