Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo right outside my front door! There was this little guy chilling out on my front porch.

Time

This photo was taken some time during the middle of the day -- it was completely unexpected. I ran inside and grabbed my camera as soon as I saw it!

Lighting

The lighting was all natural!

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Rebel T3, with its standard lens.

Inspiration

I think frogs, toads, and other reptiles are unique and interesting, and when I saw this little guy on my porch, I just had to capture him.

Editing

This photo was published as it was taken -- no post-processing whatsoever.

In my camera bag

Typically I have my Canon and my tripod with me.

Feedback

Animals are tricky to get shots of -- they require a lot of patience. Luckily for me, this toad simply sat as I photographed him, eyeing me but otherwise ignoring my actions near him. Other animals are not so "chill," and they require a lot of patience and a lot of slow movements, especially ones out in the wild.
