Location
this image was taken in a place called Cowroast (yes i know that sounds odd) which is in Tring HertfordshireTime
i was moored just infront of this boat (i live aboard my boat) i'd gotten up around 7AM and the sun was streaming through Looked out of the side doors and noticed the mist time of year was around mid novemberLighting
November is a great time of year for rolling mist over the canal the golden light from the suns rays lifted the Autumnal colours giving it that warm feeling, though it was far from warm, one of the good things about living on the water is you can virtually fall out of bed into a scene like this.Equipment
i used a Canon 400d 18-55 f3.5 no other equipment was usedInspiration
very simply the light and mist rolling across the water as stated above i looked out of the side doors of the boat screamed and grabbed the cameraEditing
i did some post processing in Lightroom increasing saturation in the orange, yellow and red added some clarity reduced highlightsIn my camera bag
i now have a Nikon D750 and normally have have the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 but it does depend on what i'm planning to photograph if its landscapes then i take along tripod and filters 10stopper soft grad and hard grad (nisi filters) if i'm shooting wild life the i just take my tamron 150-600mm and maybe the 24-70mm always a chance of capturing a landscapeFeedback
if you are planing on capturing an image like this around the same time of year 7am - 10am is about the best time of day but beware the light can change at anytime so its best to start early and just fire away
