Sunflower, seed planted by a scrub Jay in a plant pot 3 months ago. Think he must have nurtured it.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my balcony during my coffee downtime. The hummers and other birds used to join me for their food while I was outside

Time

This was taken mid afternoon when the birds would generally be resting out of the sun. I had parasols up that gave them extra shade and protection.

Lighting

The light here was spot on and with this little hummer decided to see what i was up too!

Equipment

Canon EOS with a standard 125mm lens

Inspiration

Have you seen this hummer?? The joy of being able to interact and take pleasure from these inquisative critters is immense.

Editing

In my camera bag

Now my samsung galaxy. It is able to get some good shots while i save up to replace my broken Canon.

Feedback

Rely on instinct and do not be afraid to use your camera. If you like what you see take a picture. They are there for your memories. It does not matter if they are world beaters or blurry smudged missed shots, they all will give you smiles and memories later. We are not all professionals but we can all take great memories. Just one thing to note. Do remember though to also enjoy the moment
