Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on 1st Beach in La push,WA

Time

sunset

Lighting

Well I knew that it was extreme lighting so I took three shots to create this image. +2,0-2

Equipment

Canon 7D 10-22mm EFS lens and a manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

My three boys that loved playing on this tree.

Editing

I used photomatix pro to merge the three images then brought it over into photoshop for some final touches.

In my camera bag

Canon 7D 24-105mm L Series lens,85 !.4 Sigma lens, 70-200mm f2.8 L Series lens. Alien Bees B800 and Einsteins Canon 580EX Speedlight.

Feedback

Always you a tripod at when capturing a HDR image and the lowest ISO possible. But when you bring it over into photomatix I have learned that if you keep the strength at 10 and pump up the Lumonisty and detail to 10 you don't have a dark unnatural look to the image.
