Behind The Lens

Location

I took this one at Columbia River Gorge, Oregon.

Time

It was one of many hiking trails in Columbia River Gorge. My friend and I hiked from Multnomah falls- a 611-foot-tall of icy water, up toward Larch mountain trails and went down to Wakeena Falls trails. Fairy Falls; a 20 food waterfalls is located upstream from the much larger Wahkeena Falls. We started around 10am. it took us about 3 hours to get to Fairy Falls.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny day. The top of the Falls got hit directed by the sun. However, there was also a lot of high trees around, they help it soften the light a bit.

Equipment

This was shot with my first DSLR; Canon Rebel T3.

Inspiration

I always love hiking. I love to be in the nature and seeing the green around me. I can't count how many times i wish i was a tree or a bird, so that i can be part of nature or fly to further places. I took this photo also because its name. Fairy Falls seems so enchanting, so magical and beautiful.

Editing

I enhanced the lights a bit and sighed my name.

In my camera bag

I updated my camera right after several hiking trips. My bag now normally has a Canon 6D, Canon 28-135mm ultrasonic lens, canon 75-300mm EF lens, Canon 50mm Prime lens, super macro adapter, clean kit and couple extra bateries.
