Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Busch Gardens Tampa, Fl. The coaster is called Sheikra. The "drop" is 200 ft up at a 90 degree drop and reaches up to 70 mph.

Time

First, I am not a professional photographer. Nor am I a record keeper. When I see something interesting I snap a picture. I took this photo March 2012. It was around 11 to 11:30 am. The weather was perfect.

Lighting

As you can see it was a bright sunny awesome morning. The camera (point & shoot) took care of all the settings and it turned out pretty good!

Equipment

Camera is a simple point and shoot. Nikon CoolPix S60 set on auto.

Inspiration

Having watched this coaster for a bit I looked around to try and find a better perspective for a picture. I found a small open area just below the drop. I watched one car drop and go by and then took this of the next car.

Editing

No not on this photo, but one thing I found. Some photos I took were not that sharp or whatever but they can be edited with any of the photo edit software available. That way I don't need to be concerned with camera settings.

In my camera bag

Just my simple cameras. My Nikon and a Kodak EasyShare DX7590

Feedback

Anybody can take an awesome picture. Even with the simple point and shoots. And if you like the photo you took....it's an awesome photo. I can only speak as a simple guy who likes to take pictures now and then. I simply take pictures of things that catch my eye. Different angles and/or views. It's very pleasing to know that others have enjoyed this photo and I thank all for the kind remarks. I have not kept up with my ViewBug site as I should have so thank you for this opportunity to share.
