Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken from my home in Colorado. We are just east of the Rocky Mountains. For locating purposes, Longs and Meeker Peaks are "14ers" that are a bit right of this photo.

Time

This is an evening shot of the sunset.

Lighting

The incredible golden rays emanating from this shot were enhanced by Summer fires on the Western Slope.

Equipment

I use a Canon Power Shot SX400IS which I refer to as my "little red sports car"! I love this little camera. I am an artist first and a photographer 2nd so I need a camera that can handle "point and shoot" when I'm in a hurry to catch a shot.

Inspiration

The sunsets from our home are ever-changing and ever-beautiful. I couldn't believe the scope of this fiery gold!

Editing

No post-processing.

In my camera bag

I only use the Canon PowerShot and my Iphone 7plus. My husband is a professional photographer so we have that covered! :)

Feedback

Any advice I would give is just keep your eyes open and an easy -to-use camera on your kitchen counter at home!!
