This photo was taken in my old apartment, I couldnt afford a studio back then so most of my work was at home.Time
This was taken late afternoon just as the sun started really burning through the bedroom windowLighting
Using natural light behind a white sheet allows you to get really nice soft shadows, i've always loved using natural light as it has such a nice quality to it.Equipment
canon EOS 6d with 24-70mm lensInspiration
Rachel (the model) was rolling around on the bed and the moment just grabbed meEditing
a little spot removal for Rachels skin was all that was really neededIn my camera bag
Always my trusty 24-70mm lens and my 70-200, but recently ive started carrying a 50mm also. My 600RX flash for emergencies and spare batteries of course ;)Feedback
It's all about the model. The lighting can be faked if necessary but the connection between you and the model has to be real. if you cant get a model to relax, you need to take some workshops and practise working with them, an uncomfortable model can be spotted a mile away
