I was stuck with early afternoon light having to move on with the tour. I fixed it a bit in post production.Equipment
Sony a77ii camera with a 24-200 lens hand heldInspiration
We were on tour, and while on a bus ride to Mt. Fuji our guide taught how to use origami. Cutting paper to look just like Mt.Fuji with snow on top. I guess I was really into this even before we got there. The mountain can be seen from far off but the majesty of this mountain does not hit you till you get to the spot where I took the picture.I waited for the cloud to be just right above the mountain and then click. They said you can only see mt. Fuji 60 days a year, so I guess luck plays a part.Editing
I did work on this shot, I wanted the picture darker to make it bit forbidding. I also made sure to have trees in the foreground to give the shot more deph.In my camera bag
When I am on a tour I keep my equipment to a minimum due to weight. I bought the 24-200 lens just for touring because I did't have time while moving on a tour to change the lens and still get the picture I wanted.I keep a cleaner spray, air blower and a number of brushes.Things can get dirty on the road.I also have a polarizing and uv filters. When I take pictures of animals I'll take a 100-400 lense. In tropical areas near water I take an underwater camera.Feedback
Keep seeing the world sometimes luck and a good eye will get you a great shot.
