Behind The Lens

Location

this was taken in my living room using natural light from a north faceing window

Time

it was taken late afternoon

Lighting

lighting from a north faceing window gives a good defused light without to much shadow on the mirror

Equipment

the hydrangea was layed on a mirror then using a box to support a piece of colour card . i used a d90 on a tripod with no flash with an 18 to 105 kit lens at about 50mm with the hydrangea and reflection filling the frame

Inspiration

i love reflections and have seen other similar shots and thought i can do that , so with a bit of experimentation i got a shot i am very pleased with

Editing

very little processing i cloned out some dust / marks on the mirror and a very slight vinaigrette a little sharpening and a little vibrance

In my camera bag

nikon d90 with a 18/105mm lens, 70/300mm lens ,nd filter ,polariser filter and a flash gun with remote triggers and a tripod

Feedback

a thin mirror gives less fethering on the refelction, an even defused light to prevent to much shadow and a bit of practice good luck
