Follow the Yaks

Taken along the Everest Trail, we cautiously make way for the Yaks of Nepal. These shaggy, large, high-altitude cows, most often associated with the Himalayas, are an indispensible part of the Nepalese daily life in the mountains. The local mountain villagers most commonly use yaks as a way to transport goods for sale. You will also see Yaks towing along food and large packs for tourists and mountaineers alike. Be sure to take caution, as the Yaks pass by; they can be unpredictable at times and will not give way to oncoming traffic!
