During my recent trip to Yosemite, I felt the artist in me really emerge. I was surrounded with such majestic beauty, I wanted to capture it in a more artistic way. I took this shot by focusing on a small section of the rushing Merced River and using a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the water. The golden colors are from the morning light reflecting off of El Capitan, the green from the tall Pine Trees lining the river, and the blue from the cloudless sky. Yes, this is very different from what you normally see from me, but I am continuously trying to expand my vision and creativity in photography.
