Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my house, i have a loft bedroom which has a large window, it lets alot of light in. Also lots of fantastic views and love looking out at the scenery.

Time

it was around midday and a lot of light coming into the room so the lighting was perfect.

Lighting

The lighting is the natural daylight as im not far from my window, I then darkened it slightly using an app to make the shadows stand out more.

Equipment

To be honest this photo was actually captured using my iPhone, (surprising right?) but it shows you just what you can achieve. I didn't use flash for this photo, just the light coming in from outside.

Inspiration

I'm a huge lover of photography and I wanted to capture a photo of myself using my camera, I love it. Photography Is what I love to do so I wanted to capture the passion and concentration of myself doing photography.

Editing

There is some really great apps available. I adjusted the lighting slightly to make more shadow but that's about it.

In my camera bag

I have my Nikon D3100, a battery charger pack, a spare sd card, (it's always useful to carry a spare one, I'm always taking photos so extra memory is a must) Also a decent cleaning cloth that's good for my camera lens to keep pictures clear. I'm looking to add new lenses to my kit soon after some research :)

Feedback

Capture the moment, the feelings of what you love. Have a play around with edits and see what really stands out. When I do photography I really see what would make a great photo, it's looking at life in a different view and noticing the life around you, capturing the moment and the feelings of the person or area.
