The rusting hull of the Janie Seddon, an old original coal fired steamer now at rest on the Motueka foreshore, near the old stone wharf. The Janie Seddon was originally built in England in 1903 as a submarine mine-laying vessel. Based in Wellington, she was used during WWII for that purpose. Later she was sold to Talleys fishing company (their first vessel).
