Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near my campus in Bogor. I'm amateur photographer at that time, and until now.

Time

I really love how the petals look, i remember taking this around 3 pm and its raining outside. So, i took this while i holding the umbrella. It was the best photo i took while its raining. This photo was taken on August 2013.

Lighting

I love the petals shape, usually we always the landscape view but we don't realize what kind of micro shape around us can be look so beautiful too. I want the petals look so clear, so we could see the real shape of it. I decided to use natural light.

Equipment

This photo taken by Kodak Easyshare mini, 29mmWIDE - 87mm, and it just a pocket camera.

Inspiration

I really know the lack and the superiority of my camera. The lack is it doesn't have good quality for landscape view but it has good quality in micro. Since i knew about that, i'm getting interested in micro photo, how its look, yeah i know it's not good as other camera, but i already fall in love with this camera and i love flower petals. That's become the main reason why i took this photo.

Editing

I just increase 2 point of contrast.

In my camera bag

I just bring my Kodak Easyshare mini and the charger.

Feedback

For me, if you know the lacks and the superiority of your camera, then know how to use it, the hacks of using digital camera, and become one soul with your mate (read: camera) you'll know what you do. The natural light, and keep your eyes healthy is more important because it tells what we should capture forever and what our eyes capture for a moment. And always look around you, the special spot to capture your work.
