I am a doctor by profession, photography is my hobby and passion. never thought of going Pro. in this field. A self-taught photographer. I love to take shots whenever I get a chance to do it and every shot I take does have a better tip to take the next shot, in a better way. This was shot at the great Shiekh Zayed mosque of Abudhabi, UAE. I was there with my family.Time
Of course, this was night and the main attraction for me to go for a shot was the reflection, the symmetry, the colors, the leading lines, and the patterns and their reflection.Lighting
My main aim was to highlight the reflection, more so the architecture and colours in reflection, keeping some human elements within( it was impossible to avoid human movements). the difficulty was the crowd, passing in front of the camera. So, I had to choose a perfect place, to get the desired angle, wanted to go low angle. The other problem was lighting, the lights from inside of the corridor were giving highlights clipping, had to take several shots to avoid it. I didint had a tripod, had to resort to keeping the camera on the ground and the floor was uneven, somehow managed with some support be camera belt and other handy towels.Equipment
NIKON D5200, aperture f/3.5?ISO 500?Shutter 1/600, no tripod, no flash or filtersInspiration
the grandness architecture and its reflection and the movements of people within.a good subject to tell a storyEditing
nothing much, except for adjusting some highlights and shadowsIn my camera bag
My camera, now it Nikon D 750, Nikon 50mm, 1.8, lens, Nikon 7-200 lens, Tokina 16.20 mm and sometimes Tamron 150-600 mm( only when it is needed) 3 legged thing tripod, Gorillapod, variable filters (not always)Feedback
this would have come far better if I had a tripod and some filters ( to cut highlight clippings)
