The sky did all the workEquipment
I took this photo with a Nikon D7000, 18-200 Nikkor lens, on a tripod.Inspiration
We were driving home from a round of golf and the sky was so amazing. We pulled over, I jumped out and ran into the hay field to take as many photos as I could while the light slowly fadedEditing
I edited this photo in Adobe Lightroom. I brought back some of the exposure and color in the sky and then darkened it a bit, while also bringing back the detail in the shadowy foreground. I then made some basic adjustments to to the contrast and sharpness. In my camera bag
I always, of course, have a camera in there (currently a Sony a7r and Olympus OM-D E-M1) along with a range of lenses, accessories and my ND filters from Lee (both a Big and Little Stopper). I usually have a tripod with me, too.Feedback
Always have a camera ready! Also, when dealing with scenes with a big dynamic range, shoot as many shots as you can at different exposures.
