This photo was taken in the Grand Bazar in IstanbulTime
I was roaming around the Spice Bazar looking at the interesting things people were selling when I saw this. The texture on the cups really attracted me.Lighting
I didn't have a flash on me at that time so I did the best I could with the available light I had. The shallow aperture on my 35mm helped. The rest of the details on the texture were picked up in post processing.Equipment
It was the Nikon D5100 with a 35mm 1.8 lensInspiration
I was in a bokehlicious mood and looking for things standing out at a distance from their background. This was the perfect candidate for that coupled with the intricate texture on the cup which I knew would turn out amazing in a capture.Editing
Yes, the area was not that well lit so I had to use some post processing to get the details out on the cup. But I kept it to a minimum. In my camera bag
I usually have a Nikon D5100 and a couple of prime lenses, the 35mm and the 85mmFeedback
As someone famous said, "Photography helps me to see". In our fast paced life, we have stopped to really look and observe and absorb the beauty around us. All we need to do is to slow down, keep our eyes open, and observe the beauty, the symmetry and the patterns around us. It would surprise us to know how many beautiful moments we pass by every day if we just "stop to smell the roses".
