Taken from the back door of the rental house i lived in from 2007-2010 in Alma, CO, where the town elevation is 10,578 ft. The top of the ridge is 11,600 ft. This thunderstorm appeared closed to sunset time, which made the uneasiness of what was coming, worse. Living at high altitude is a blast but when those big storms coming barreling through with low cloud ceilings, you are a little to close.
