Location
I took the photo inside of old baroque church, located on a hill above my neighbourhood.Time
It was about noon on warm sunny day in May.Lighting
I wanted to explore the feature of my new camera, which I recently got to use for my job. Also, I like great photos taken in challenging conditions.Equipment
I am not sure, but I probably did not use tripod since I did not own one back then. I did not use the flash.Inspiration
Church premises, especially those older, always attract me because they have so many beautiful details which, besides its artistic value, give church warmth. I believe that prayers, which have been being said there for decades, maybe even centuries, give those premises lively, yet mysterious appearance.Editing
I do not remember spending much of time on post-processing (which I usually do when the photo is bad). I only cropped this one a tiny bit. I experimented with variety of different positions of the church's entrance. In my camera bag
1 camera, 1 objective, 1 flash, 2 batteries for camera, 2 packs of batteries for flashlight, battery chargers, a few memory cards, 1 memory card reader, cloth for objective. If needed, I also carry a tripod.Feedback
You need to seek an old church when it is empty or very few people are inside. Time of the day is not so important, but I cannot deny that atmosphere is enhanced whnen you manage to capture the first, or the last, sun rays which pass through colourful stained glass.
