Sorry, not sure why I never saw a couple of these comments!! Actually a longer exposure. This was a 1/5th of a second exposure with the camera mounted on top of my car via Magic Arm and 3 big 6 inch suction cups at about 50mph. Minus a little bit of contrast and light editing, this is almost exactly how it came out of my camera.

Location
This was taken in Buffalo NY in a tunnel that runs under the runway of Buffalo Niagara International Airport.Time
i had to shoot real late at night, probably 1 or 2 in the morning when there was no traffic from any flights landing or the near by bars.Lighting
All of the lighting is just the lights in the tunnel on a long exposure, no additional lighting was used.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon 1D MarkIII and a Canon 17-40 lens. It was mounted to my roof with an Avenger suction cup and a Manfrotto Magic Arm with a shutter release down in my drivers side window.Inspiration
I was originally planning on taking some other photos of my car driving though the tunnel. I had some very nice police officers that responded to a call near the airport of a suspicious vehicle remind me about my proximity to the airport and the runway, which despite living there for 25 years, completely slipped my mind. So I wasn't able to be there shooting for national security reasons. I was determined to get some shots in that tunnel, so I had to come up with a way to do it without ever having to stop near the tunnel. I figured out how to mount my car on top and came up with this idea and just set it up about a mile away, drove through the tunnel with the remote in my hand and just kept going after I got through the tunnel.Editing
Just some color correction and level adjustment. In my camera bag
On a daily basis, I normally just carry my Canon 6D, Canon 70-200, Canon 28-70 and my 580EX II flash, as well as my tripod in the trunk. Always have to have something with me.Feedback
Don't let someone saying no stop you from finding a way to keep them happy but still get your shot. Obviously stay within legal restrictions, keeping in mind your location, but if there's a shot you see, find a way to get it. And make sure your camera is secure on top of youof the car when you're doing 60mph!
