Behind The Lens

Location

We were camping at San Clemente State Bach and isaw a little girls walking along the beach with her grandfather, her little footprints just begged to be photographed

Time

This was taken mid-morning, in January.

Lighting

It was a clear day, and I didn't have any special lighting for this shot, I just made sure my shadow was out of the way

Equipment

I use a Nikon D5000', with a 50-200mm lens. No flash, tri-pod or monopod was used

Inspiration

I was looking for anything that seemed interesting that day. This one made me think of her running towards her future.

Editing

The only thing I did with this was to crop it

In my camera bag

I always carry my Nikon, my 50mm lens, a 200mm lens, my favorite 70-300mm lens, a fish eye lens (to play with), and an external flash

Feedback

My advice is to photograph anything that captures your attention, imagination, or that fascinTes you. I was once told by a photographer at a botanical gardens, that the more pictures you take, the more likely you are to get one that you will want to keep and share. pay attention to where your shadow is when you are taking pictures in full sun, use many differnt angles, remember that unlike film, digital is basically free, use it.
