Such a fun concept I got to play around with. I can't wait to explore this more.

Behind The Lens

Location

This is a few exposures. I took the photo of the branches while out walking on a hiking path. I took the photo of the body at a separate location.

Time

Mid afternoon. I went out to shoot the devastation of the three and all the beauty it held.

Lighting

I didn't use any flash for this photo. I did not want to lose any of the eeriness the dead branches held.

Equipment

No flash. I used a Canon Rebel Xt.

Inspiration

The way the branches create an organic frame all on their own. The instant I saw this location while on a hike I know I needed something to capture the emotions it inevitably brought out in me.

Editing

I used Photoshop for some fine tuning. This piece is made up of two exposures so I did a handful of manipulation to get it to flow cohesively.

In my camera bag

A small tripod and a lot of curiosity and imagination!!

Feedback

Don't be afraid to push an idea by adding some surreal elements to it.
