Texas State Railroad

The Texas State Railroad runs between Rusk and Palestine, State of Texas, obviously. I previously exhibited on RedBubble another photo taken of this same train on this same date but felt compelled to share this one with my RedBubble friends since it is a slightly cropped version of the photo chosen as Photo of the Day on WebShots for this date: August 2, 2010.

This actually was my favorite, as it was the best staged shot of a few hours worth of chasing crossings to get the perfect shot of this wonderful “choo-choo.” This image is the result of my waiting 30 minutes or so at the Rusk Depot for the last unloading of the day before the engineer again rose up a good head of steam to power the train along its short ride to the turn-around to await its the next run on another day.
