She was in season but was not planned to breed with this male. Off to the left were 4 handlers intent on them having fun but nothing serious
Got to love Aussie Zoo. Fantastic place

Wow! Amazing timing and capture! I hope to see this same type of behavior soon at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, as we have received accreditation for a Sumatran Tiger breeding program. We have both a new 3 year old female and a 4 year old male who arrived within the past few months. They are slowly being introduced to each other, and she appears very interested in him...and he, her.

Hi SMDelongPhotography. This was one of those days which had me taking many, many shots of these tigers and the handlers. The male had gone to mount the female at least 4 times and each time one of the handlers was holding the females tale in the way. The handlers were so gutsy. No hope in the world could get me doing that. The tigers were still having fun. The female did fall pregnet and there were 2 cubs, which I have a couple of shots each in my gallery. They are somewhat more grown now. Thank you and good luck with your tigers. Regards Dan
