Location
In a wooded area near my town of Beacon, New York. It was a perfect spot for my scene of summer meets autumn.Time
The best natural lighting was the goal for this photo, as I wanted to avoid using the flash. I wanted the photo to give a surreal vibe, as if I unexpectedly stumbled on the subject during a hike.I believe I capture this shot around 4 pm.Lighting
My lighting and vision was for it too look as natural as possible. To give off the illusions you are looking at a real scene that you accidentally came across.Equipment
I used my trusty Sony a300 with my 18-70 lens. I kept it basic, no additional flash or tripod needed. I Want it simple and raw.Inspiration
I knew that I wanted to complete a greater "four seasons" series depicting women as each season. My inspiration was to give off the vibe of myseriously wood nymphs bringing in the changing seasons. "Autumn" was one of my favorite parts of my 4 part series because she gave off wild but Steph and beautiful expressions high for me, capturing the season where you never truly know what your going to get with the weather through october.Editing
I kept it minimumal to stay with the vibe I wanted to protray. I did some color correction, and with contrast and brightness. In my camera bag
I love traveling with my tripod and witeless remote; you never when you will have the opportunity to capture a great long exposure shot. I always have on my spare batteries and an additional flash! My 18-70 lens as well as my 79-300 I have never left the house without. and I keep in my bag an additional fish eye lens and some color filters if if I ever want to shoot in a more surreal vibe.Feedback
Be creative! If you think of a concept you want to bring to life go for it, you don't need to be overwhelmed with extra equipment, sometimes less can be more. Use natural lightening to your advantage for softer, warmer tones and keep shooting and trying different things until you see your vision come to life!
