Location
This is Mala Pier, on Maui, with the island of Lanai in the background.Time
It was taken early morning. Not positive, but I think between 9 and 10.Lighting
Very straight forward lighting, sun over my right shoulder.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D with a Canon 24-105 lens at the 24 mm setting. The 7D is not full frame so this is more like 38 mm's.Inspiration
I'm always looking for beautiful images and this one presented itself.Editing
I editing the shot in Photoshop and also used a Clarity preset with some tweaking.In my camera bag
I don't have much in the way of equipment. I have a Canon 7D Mark Lloyd, a 15-85 Canon, a Tamron 180 Macro, a Canon 100-400L, a 580 flash, lightweight tripod, cable release, a polarizer, an ND filter, and a set of extension tubes.Feedback
Be patient, wait for the light. While waiting explore different vantage points to get just the right shot.
