Late afternoon.Lighting
Magic hour trumps any lighting and this was just about an hour shy of it. As it was early Spring, the late afternoon Southeast rays were forgiving. That slight harsh glare on the surfboard accented the image for great effect.Equipment

Having the camera on me during surf seshs so I can catch timeless, fleeting moments as such.Editing
Slight brightness and contrast. I am so not a fan of sitting in front of a computer. When any adjustments need to be made, it's simple and in iPhoto. My love is composition, natural light, and above all, the soul within the frame.In my camera bag

Have some kind of camera on you at all times, have a favorite place to frequent, and always be LOOKING for the in-between moments of life that speak to you. There's heart and soul everywhere and it's different for all of us. Moreover, if someone is prominently featured in any candids, approach them and offer to send a copy. Sharing your vision and work with the subject is divine.
