Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas, I developed an affinity for the extreme beauty of the yellow cactus blossom. I used to tell my Momma that was the "True Yellow Rose of Texas!" This pic was shot in my Momma's back yard...and while she is and always has been a fan of the traditional cultured roses, she keeps the cacti blooming...mostly for me!
