Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on Matchedash Bay just off of Georgian Bay in Ontario Canada while out Kayaking

Time

I was out kayaking in the early afternoon and took the photo at that time

Lighting

Nothing special really about the lighting.... it was a beautiful day

Equipment

When kayaking I always carry my Olympus TG-310 in the vest pocket of my jacket.........The TG-310 is waterproof my only option for photos when out ion the kayak

Inspiration

We had just come around the corner from a large section of reeds.........and as we made the turn we could see a flock of Canada geese on the water.........we tried to drift up close to them.........but as we got closer....they took off......... I shot the photo just as they were taking off

Editing

Not really....just cropped it a little tighter

In my camera bag

I would normally have my Canon 60D ( but it does not tolerate a dunk in the lake like the Olympus TG-310 so it does not go on many kayak trips). also have a Canon 70-300 zoom , a Canon 50mm, a Sigma DC 17-70 MacroHMS and a Canon 600-EX-RT Flash

Feedback

Only word of advice........always have your camera in arms reach.........doesn't matter...small or large camera........no camera...no picture.
