The De Zwaan Windmill was originally built in 1761 in Krommenie, Netherlands. In 1889, it was moved to Vinkel, Netherlands and reconstructed there. In 1964, it was moved to its current home in Holland, Michigan after a 6 month reconstruction was formally dedicated in April of 1965. This windmill is 125-foot (38 m) tall with 80-foot (24 m) diameter blades. When winds are favorable the Mill is used to grind grains into flour, which is then available for sale.
