Kauai's Mt. Waialeale has the most rain per year than any other place on earth. Most of the rain falls on the east or tradewind side which is lush and green. The western side of the mountain is much drier in many areas. This small stream appeared after a recent rain as we drove up the mountain road to one of the viewing stations. It had never been there before when we visited.
