Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo where I grew up, right outside my mother's home.

Time

I remember it was later in the evening, because my daughter and I were still walking around snapping photos even after it was dark..

Lighting

The sun is always my favorite source of light.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D3100, and kept it pretty simple that day.

Inspiration

My mother and my daughter both inspired me. Butterflies just seem to be drawn to my daughter. I call her the "butterfly whisperer."

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

Typically I have my Nikon, along with a zoom lens (70-300mm), a macro and fisheye lens, an external flash usually (just in case), and probably a tripod.

Feedback

Patience definitely plays a crucial roll in the success of a photo adventure kind of day. I try to keep an open mind and look for things that make my heart flutter when I first see them. I think it's important to stay true to yourself, and follow your heart, having confidence in who you are, and I definitely think that can show through your work.
