A few weeks ago as we were headed home from a day spent up north with family....we could see smoke billowing a mile or so ahead of us. Fire and medic responders had already shut the road down to one lane and in true "rubber necking fashion" traffic slowed dramatically! I was certainly in the mix because just after we passed the officer guiding traffic, I had Dave pull over to the side; I grabbed my trusty "EYES" and ran up the road to catch what I could of this COMBINE that had rolled in the field and burst into flames. Certainly hoping no ones was injured, it would seem NOT because other equipment running in the same fields were continuing to operate. PHEW---that was an expensive COMBINE COMBUSTION!

LOL! First may I apologize for the delay in THANKING YOU for taking the time to stop. I am grateful, I laughed when I read your comment because my husband says "REALLY? you want me to pull over NOW?" to which any good photographer says what? OF COURSE! LOL! he pulled over and I ran back up closer to the seen while paramedics, and cops and fire engines were barreling into the scene. (personally? I liked the rush of catching a shot right as it happened) everyone was fine, just the equipement loss. wishing you much success ~peace
