first - Thank you for giving me this opportunity to showcase my work. I'm feeling privileged. I took this picture while 6 Km trekking to temple "Chandrashila - Tungnath" in district Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand state, India. Chandrashila is known as the highest altitude (4000 meters) Hindu temple of Lord/God Shiva.Time
I planned a week holiday to hill station and my native state Uttarakhand in India. It was 1400 IST summer afternoon in June 2013 in northern India and After 3 Km of trekking I reached the meadows of place called "Chopta" and I saw this lone tree on my way as if it was waiting for my click since ages:)Lighting
Nothing can be better than spending summers in hill stations of Uttarakhand. It was a pleasant weather out there temperature was around 20-25 deg C and a very bright sunny day for photographers :).Equipment
I was carrying Canon 600 D with Canon kit lens 18-55 mm.Inspiration
The posture of the tree adjacent to trek with a beautiful wide meadows attracted me a lot, it was enough to inspire a shutterbug like me :)Editing
I adjusted little bit of contrast. As it was a bright sunny day, I got the desired result in natural light itself.In my camera bag
I keep Canon 600 D with Kit lens 18-55 mm along with a telephoto lens Tamron 70-300 mm with (Vibration Control). that's it :) I carry other equipment like tripod in my car for lowlight conditions and other creative stuff.Feedback
Only basics like take such pictures in bright sunny day is really helpful and plan to capture such scene in afternoon. Otherwise I believe and experienced photography can always go beyond rules and advices to get amazing creative results :)
