An erratic day of weather at the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on the Arizona and Utah boarder included: rain, extreme wind, lightning and depicted here a brief but intense hail storm. I huddled beneath a spare jacket with my camera and tripod as companions. The weather was changing so frequently I hoped their would be a rainbow, instead an intense and rapidly changing assortment of rain, hail and wind erupted. I snapped this shot of East Mitten as the hail storm was at its apex.

I've seen so many pictures take of Monument Valley, but none like this. I feel like I'm there in the rain. Great Capture!
