very cool, if you hadn't told us it was a solar light, I would have thought that was the most interesting web I've ever seen :)

Location
This photo was taken in a flowerbed at a friend's house.Time
Around 10 am in the morning.Lighting
The entire area was shaded, so I captured the image in CR (camera raw) and used a bit of fill flash, then enhanced the lighting with photoshop to darken the shadows a bit and bring out the highlights.Equipment
I have a cannon EOS DSLR. It only takes 10MP images, but it does what I need and its macro abilities are excellent.Inspiration
I was working on close up stuff because I was tired of taking landscapes at the time and it just looked like it might be interesting.Editing
I used photoshop to enhance the shadows and highlights, as well as increase the vibrancy a bit.In my camera bag
One camera body - my canon EOS. 2 lenses - a telephoto I don't use much because it doesn't have image stabilization, and the lens that came with the camera. A small flash. And a UV filter. That filter stays on my lens to protect it from rocks, fingerprints and other things that could damage it. I tend to shoot very organic and use available light. But I also shoot CR a lot, and use Photoshop as needed to correct the lighting if it didn't work out quite right.Feedback
Look. Seriously. Look under leaves, under rocks, behind stuff and pay attention. Macro opportunities are all around, but if you don't get down close and look, you miss most of them. Be very quite and don't make any rapid movements. A faster camera is nice for stuff like humming birds, but not necessary for critters that like to sit motionless and wait on prey.
