Location
The photo was taken on Cyprus, Limassol. I decided to go to ancient ruins for a small photoshoot with my friend. Somewhere new the ancient amphitheater we found a small place where the walls were still standing and decided that this is going to be a great location for a shoot.Time
It was already a sunset, however we could barely see it as the clouds were so heavy and the entire sky was the color of dark grey.Lighting
I didn't play much with the lightening at that time as it was neither too dark nor too bright - perfect condition for taking b/w photo without using flash or other extra equipment. The lightening was so good and natural that I just shoot what I was seeing.Equipment
This was shoot on Sony A55, 35mm lens. I didn't use external flash or tripod. Just my camera, model and a little bit of creativity.Inspiration
Definitely the entire atmosphere of the ancient ruins. When you walk there you can feel time, history. There are different emotions inside you; some of them are tempting and some of them are sad. I wanted to create something emotional but at the same time beautiful.Editing
I always do some post-processing, but I am trying to keep it at the minimum level. In this particular photo I played a little bit with the levels and did face retouch. In my camera bag
My camera and that is it. Well and my lovely 35mm lens. I don't need many things as much as I have an inspiration.Feedback
Always try to capture emotions. Think of a story that you want to tell other people by capturing specific moment. When there is a story behind a photo it makes people think about your work; that what makes it interesting. Don't be afraid to experiments and think out of a box. Technical part is easy to learn and master, but the creative part it's always up to you and up to your own imagination.
