Snapping Rock

The southwestern Indian tribes of Navho and Apaches claim this rock can eat you alive if you dare to climb up into or close to its mouth. They call it Big Snapping Turtle Rock. There is also a large rattesnake den nearby and during the spring when they come out, a lot of them are run over on what is known the deadliest highway that takes you north into Las Vegas, NV. The road is being worked on to prevent accidents and truckers can no longer cross the damn's road due to 9-11. If someone were to drive a truck and stop in the middle of the damn, lake Mead would be drained and the power for Vegas and surrounding towns would be shut down. Sorry, but I can't recall the name of the damn but it was built during the great depression in the 1930's.
