Actually, I'm really very very very surprised and honoured when this photo to be featured, the making of this is nothing special when i comparing of all of the talent of the members of Viewbug, I take this when I live in bengkulu province , some of litlle beautiful, challanging province of Indonesia.I'm a gov employee as my duty sometimes moving from a province to another every 3 years.We (me and friend) in there (Bengkulu) , make a little garden , growing up some flowers and other herbals , to attract insects and other animal to go there , thats my friend idea, while we trained our skill to take photo macrography....Now,..I always miss the making this photo, because, now , May be, I cant make again, Now I'm wearing eye glass, and my friend when im there , had another business themself...I'm sorry if my english is bad and make You confused.Thank You.Time
I take this foto in day very shiny day full of light, the dark background its caused by filling flash because Im intend as much as dept of field to be grabbed in my camera and take as many as i can aperture so i wish had enough data / exposure in my sensor.before take this photo, im preparing ; the flash full of battery, hat for the head (very hot because sunny day).Lighting
the more filling flash you shoot, you will get the dark back ground.if you intend great DOF , there must be larger aperture and, shutter speed is from 150 to 200 because the speed of animal is really fast, shorter Lens for better DOF, and enough light, the ISO is the other option.Equipment
Im using NIKON D7000, No tripod, Youngno Flash, manual Lens (with reverse ring, hand made),Inspiration
as other insects that I took shot, just want to watch his/her face and showing his/body to the nature.Editing
Im using adobe photoshop 6, with little croping and color / exposure adjustment.In my camera bag

in macro photography you can take shoot any time, doest matter whatever weather happened.but must be waiting the moment when the animal / insects showing and make attraction, the time you had to work, i always preparing, full of charge my battery, lense, camera READY, waiting the moment .
