Location
We were on a family holiday to Europe and were spending the Easter weekend in London. This photo was taken on Easter Sunday, walking through Hyde Park on the way to the Natural History Museum. It was raining and the only umbrellas we could find to purchase had the Union Jack on them.Time
This photo was taken mid morning on Easter Sunday. The rain was drizzling and we had just finished breakfast. As we were traveling we wanted to see as much as possible and decided to walk instead of taking public transport. This is one of my favourite photos from our trip to Europe. It hangs on the wall in our family room and I smile every time I look at it.Lighting
The light was dull as the weather was so poor. The light helped to capture a mood and certainly assisted in telling a story.Equipment
The only equipment used was my Canon camera.Inspiration
The inspiration for this photo was my family. I wanted to capture this moment in time as I knew I most likely wouldn't have the opportunity to capture another shot like this in the same location again.Editing
I think I may have brightened the image a little but I did not do too much post processing to the image. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon camera, I always have a macro lens on hand as well as my kit lens, a 50mm and a 70 - 200mm. They are all my go to lenses. Depending on what type of photography I am doing I will also carry my tripod.Feedback
The only advice I can offer is to be present in every moment. If you see something that sparks your interest, stop and capture it. Don't be afraid to change your position, go high, go low, look up. Making the slightest change to your position is the difference between a good and a great photo.
