I have noticed that when you disturb a dragonfly, they will often return the the same spot in a few seconds. I spotted this one on a rock and layer down next to it as it flew away and waited with my macro lens. Sure enough it landed on the rock about 12" from my lens. After a few moments it flew at me and I felt it brush my head and watched it once again return to the rock. I watched thru my camera as it devoured the insect it snatched from my head. I snapped pictures as it chewed it up and then showed me the bloody ball before swallowing it. It was like he was saying "There you go..."
