I improvised a solar filter by using the film of a 3.5" floppy disk. It was a last minute put-together. It definitely had issues, as I had to actually use two pieces of film and do a minuscule tape job with (scotch) tape. Unfortunately, there was an area of filter that had doubled up, however, I was able to either adjust the darker part of the filter or avoid it all together when fully zoomed.
This shot is of the waning eclipse, moments before sunset. The ridge line is of the Jemez mountains west of Santa Fe.
I had always wondered what it'd be like to witness the sun & moon setting together...this was a "can not miss event for me."
