There was a nice antique car show since it is the birthplace of Henry Ford. I was clicking photo's of all the amazing cars that were there. It was sunny and most of my pictures were over exposed and I didn't like them. A storm quickly came rolling in and I thought to myself "oh great so much for taking any more pictures". As most people were running for shelter, I realized that the drops added a very cool element to the hood ornaments. I quickly starting taking some shots, trying hard to stay out of the reflection of these incredible works of art on the hoods of these priceless cars. I was very happy when I got home and took a look at what I had shot.Equipment

Living in Michigan its always about the automobile. When you go to a place like the Henry Ford Museum and learn the history of American manufacturing and automotive assembly lines, you have a profound respect for the impact of the automobile on the human condition. I go to the Detroit auto show every year and take hundreds of pictures, rarely if ever, have I taken one I liked.Editing
There was a hint of my shadow in the main hood ornament that I erased out of the photo. Everything else is basically the raw shot.In my camera bag
Lenses, filters, batteries and a bunch of odds and ends. I carry my backpack anytime I go out to somewhere I think will have photo opportunities.Feedback
Stick with it! I was shooting hood ornaments all day and like I said, I did not care for most of the shots. When the weather changed and I was ready to give up, it revealed another POV that I would never have even considered.
